Dual Language Program

Minter Bridge is a Dual Language (DLP) strand school, offering a bilingual learning experience through a lottery-based enrollment process. Students enrolled in the DLP receive instruction in both English and Spanish—50% of their day in each language. Students not in the DLP receive instruction entirely in English. Since its launch in 2007, our Dual Language Program has been dedicated to fostering bilingualism, biliteracy, and academic success for all participating students.

Program Model

  • 50/50 instruction model (English & Spanish)
  • All core subjects taught in both languages
  • Two  separate groups — some students participate in the Dual Language Program and others are in an English+ track.

Grade Levels Served

  • PK – 6th Grade

Feeder Pattern

Students continue to:

  • South Meadows Middle School
  • Hillsboro  High School (HIlhi) -where students can earn the Oregon State Seal of Biliteracy

Enrollment & Transfers

Entry points: Kinder and 1st Grade (via lottery or transfer). Upper grade entry possible with Spanish literacy background.
